Mason and Cameron's precious second cousin, Abbey, has been in and out of the hospital recently because she has been diagnosed with Kawasaki Disease. Kawasaki disease is an illness that involves the skin, mouth, and lymph nodes, and most often affects kids under age 5. The cause is unknown, but if the symptoms are recognized early, kids with Kawasaki disease can fully recover within a few days. Untreated, it can lead to serious complications that can affect the heart. Her first EKG showed no signs of heart complications so they thought that she was cured, but the results of her second EKG showed some bubbling in her heart which may be several tiny aneuryisms. She is back in the hospital getting treatment for these. Please keep little Abbey and her family in your prayers!!
