Headed to Canton (TX, not OH)!

Brrrr! It is a cool, fall day in Dallas, TX. I have literally been sitting on my hands at work all morning, trying to get them to warm up...but that presents a problem as I try and write my blog post. I might have to wear my mittens to work before too long! ;)

Anyway, I digress... Last night, Mason and I went to our friend's Kelli & Lezlie's apartment to grill out and drink wine! I have not had drinks on a "school night" in a long while, and I am soo exhausted this morning. I also had to wake up at the crack of dawn and scrub our little apt from top to bottom a la Cinderella (sans singing mice to help me do my job). Mason's parents are coming in town again this weekend for another family wedding and this time they are shacking up with us. After our household disaster last time they came in town, I wanted everything to look nice, so I got out the vacuum and scrub brush and went to work. Now, I'm very ready to go home and take a nap!

Tomorrow morning/afternoon, Mason's mom, my mom, my aunt and me (geez..that's a lot of m's) are loading up and heading one hour east of Dallas to Canton, TX. It is a small country town, near Tyler, that hosts First Monday Trade Days. Every weekend before the first Monday of each month, the town hosts a big bizarre sale, if you will, where hundreds of vendors set up shop and sell everything from home decor, clothing, food, furniture, you name it. There are soo many cute items for sale at this event and for such great prices! My mom, aunt and I have been going for a long time now, but Mason's mom has never been so we will be showing her the ropes. It looks like the fall weather will be pleasant this weekend too! Hopefully, I'll come home with some new treasures! :) Hope you all have a great weekend!
